Before WWII there was a migration of German Jewish Physicists/Scientists abroad, notably to the US. After WWII the allies imported a lot of Nazi Scientists/Engineers. Were there any awkward encounters or special precautions around mixing these two groups in the work they were doing?

I've noticed that problems (poverty, lack of human rights, violence, etc.) in Indonesia, Sub-Saharan Africa, India, and Latin America are all blamed on European Colonialism. Do historians agree that European colonialism caused all of these countries/regions to have their problems?
